Customers ask all the time about engines for their drift cars. We want to instill some confidence into our customer base. LME has built many drift engines, including engines that have run in the Formula drift series. Our customer over at Five Bar motorsports Joao Barion has a corvette in the series that does very well. Mr. Barion runs our signature LME 390 cubic inch Superchargered LTX. His C7 sees a lot of abuse, including fire! We built his LME 390 to withhold all of the abuse! Starting with the Iron 6.6L L8T Block. This is the best block on the market right now to hold the power and cylinder pressures drifting causes. Let's move to the rotating assembly. LME uses a Callies Magnum 8 counterweight crankshaft to push a set of Dyers 300M billet H beam rods. Those rods are joined with our Custom LME Diamond 2K forged pistons! This is a 2000HP capable engine. The five-bar crew is not giving this engine an easy life so LME had to build this engine to last for a while! Having high rpm's you may be wondering what we are doing to make sure the valvetrain is happy. Obviously, an engine of this caliber won't be running with VVT. Our builders put on our full timing set which includes, our VVT delete front cover, Timing chain, and our LME Guide. These items are crucial to a long lasting engine. This engine has to breathe!! LME would only recommend the highest performing LT cylinder head on the market for such a donating task. Topping off this bulletproof shortblock we used our LME LTX racing heads. The heads are being forced with air coming from an F1A-94 supercharger. Many of you may be saying, "This is way more engine than I need." LME can build you anything you need. We have the ability to get you competing in the formula drift series or just your local drift club. The point is, we have you covered!
